A life that counts

  • Series: Sermon on the Mount #2
  • Scripture: Matt 5:13-20
  • Location: St Paul's Cooma

We continue reading the “Sermon on the Mount” (Matthew 5-7). The radical distinctiveness of life as a disciple of Jesus, a citizen of the Kingdom of Heaven. Jesus says to us who would follow him, “Go and live in such a way that God’s glory shines brightly through your deeds.” The purpose of good deeds is to direct attention to God and his glory. Salt and light are two things that make an impact by being distinctive. We as God’s people are to do that in the world where he has placed us, so that more people will be drawn to Him.
